In World Famous, the Infamous Leadville, Co.

Rocky Mountain High-est! America’s Highest! The World’s Highest Road Marathon and Half Marathon. The event is also a USATF Sanctioned race.

Race the inaugural event in 2014 and be part of history in the making.

Leadville is a historic mountain community and North America’s highest incorporated city. At a lofty elevation of 10,152', this race offers exceptional scenery with constant views of 14,000’ peaks in the Sawatch mountain range.

Leadville was listed by Men’s Journal as one of the nation’s top 20 “Dream Towns in America”, and Runner’s World identified Leadville as a “Trailway to Heaven”.

Team GECKO has been fans of Leadville Co. for more then twenty years. After years of staging successful racing events in Pagosa Springs Colorado now is the time to realize our dreams of spreading the GECKO word further afield and Leadville Colorado is the obvious choice. Thank you to the City of Leadville and Lake County for all the support in this venture. We can’t wait for September.
